Hermiston Newsletter

This newsletter will present the most recent comments first. You will be able to page through the "old" volumes if you want to do so.

Of course the editor would like input from the Hermiston Clan. Please mail info to the editor. Thanks

I will set up a group email to advise of large changes on the page. If you do not want this mail..(not junk mail!!) let me know and I will remove your email handle from the group!

I am going to start adding the family trees as they form and I am fairly sure of the connections. However, as you all know, this format is very time consuming so it will be a while. Also when it gets to the "living" there will be no dates included. I am not sure how I will handle you finding your section of the tree but I'll work on it.

I also feel that it is important to keep this thing going so I would ask some of you to send me a snail mail address which is rather a permanent one so I can contact people periodically for input of new Hermistons and unfortunately also the loss of members of the "clan"

If you are aware of any emails that are not in the email list please either contact the person with the URL or send me their email address.

Now for a little trick as you know the http listing for Hermiston genealogy is very long. If you want to send this http address to anyone for their use do the following. Go to the home page and highlight the http address (it turns blue or whatever) then press cntrl/c this will story the address on your clipboard( Win95.. not sure about 3.1 maybe someone can let me know). Then go to your mail editor and prepare your message when you reach the place where you want to insert the http line just press cntrl/v and bingo it is inserted. When the message gets to where it is going the lucky person can put their cursor on the http line and it will automatically start up the browser and bring in the web page. Then they can save it in their favorites list and you have not had to type out the crazy http line... which I usually do incorrectly the first time ... at least!
