MISSION

The Centre for Health Information Systems (CHIS) is expected to evolve into a collaboration of researchers and public and private sector R&D partners with mutual interests in the development of next generation health information systems, featuring increasing use of techniques and concepts from artificial intelligence, business and health management, data and network security, issues related to patient privacy and legislated ethical requirements, health data, metadata, ontologies and matters related to data access and integration across multi-institutional domains, electronic patient records, patient safety, multi-agent technologies for modeling and simulation of social and cultural networks, and many other issues reflective of a dynamic research and development landscape.

We have an active collaborations with three other leading researchers at the University of Windsor, one in the School of Computer Science and the other two in the Odette School of Business.
