ACOUSTIC STAGE - SPRING SHOWCASE CONCERT - 2012

Friday, June 8, 2012                       8 p.m. at Mackenzie Hall

The performers for the June 2012 concert are:

Allison Brown

Roots Songstress Allison Brown likes her religion a little bit gritty, takes her country music with a side of syrup and keeps her folk as dusty as the ol' cabin floor. With a hatful of broken hearts, bad weather, toils of the road, and leaps of faith, Allison's crafted originals matched with classic roots repertoire reflect the striking conviction she brings to her sweet and powerful singing.

Stefan Cvetkovic and Michael Hargreaves

Stefan Cvetkovic and Michael Hargreaves are Windsor based artists who perform both individually and together as part
of the group Michou. Stefan has gained notoriety for his work as a drummer, and has commanded attention with his
unique voice and ukelele accompaniment. A keen sense for groove, vibe, and soul derives from a passion for artists
such as Sam Cooke and Otis Redding. Michael plays guitar and is known for his vocals and strong songwriting skills.
Michou, awarded 'Artist of the Year' in 2011 by XM Radio's The Verge, is developing a strong following both locally and
internationally.

Tara’s first album titled “About Love” was released locally in March 2009.  She is currently completing new original material for a full-length album with Andy Magoffin due out this August.  Tara is also a member of the local band ‘The Locusts Have No King’ whose sound is described as a blend of gypsy, rockabilly and folk.
