THE
"WINDSOR FOLK SHOWCASE CONCERT" CONCERT
Friday,
January 4, 2008 8 p.m. at Mackenzie Hall
Here are our featured performers:
Dale Butler

Dale Butler is a singer/songwriter from Leamington who has been entertaining people for many years at fairs, festivals and concerts across Ontario. His credits include the Home County Folk Festival in London, Brigden Fair, Harrow Fair and at The Cleary Auditorium in Windsor. Dale has two CDs of his own music which have been featured on CBC and CHYR radio and he has done several commercials and shows for television as well. Accompanying Dale will be Kingsville bass player Gordon Harwood.
Stu Tait & Mike Hutchinson

Stu Tait and Mike Hutchinson love zany songs and poking fun at life and the society around them and themselves. A typical set might include songs about a bank robbery gone comically wrong, a pirate who sails the Saskatchewan River, an urge to kill a neighbour’s nuisance pet and that Canadian icon of icons — the Mountie. Stu and Mike have known each other since school days in Walkerville, but only discovered their mutual interest in singing and playing guitars after they got together in another musical venue — a pipe band. Mike is a drummer and Stu is the Drum Sergeant. Mike is preparing for a career in law enforcement and Stu studies political science at the University of Windsor.

Windsor's Erin Gignanc and Mark Bertrand are the creative centre of folk-rock collective Dresden Sky. Their music includes elements of country, jazz, ethnic, and folk drawn from a wide background of musical training and performance history. Their debut EP has been featured nationally on CBC as well as on radio stations in southwestern Ontario.
The featured performers will appear at Mackenzie Hall on Friday January 4, 2008 at 8:00 p.m.
