Video Tutorials for Instructors from the University of Windsor and other Partner Institutions
There are several resources available on the Internet to support instructors with learning various skills related to the Online Environment. Several partner institutions using Sakai (the open-source software that CLEW is built upon) have large training repositories of various tool functions. While the colour scheme may be different, or some of the controls within a tool may appear or function differently due to local requirements, the overall information you need will be helpful. The benefit of an open-source community truly lies with collaborative efforts where possible.

Video Tutorials
Instructions for viewing video: Be sure to have your sound turned on for these tutorials.
Please note that for some videos, there is an option to play the video (in the playlist) in HD which is located in the upper right corner of your screen. After selecting that option, each time you view any of the playlist videos, your choice will remain. HD enables a much clearer view of the details in the video, however, if you are using dial-up, this option might not work for you.
CLEW at the University of Windsor
CLEW at the University of Windsor is a video that captures how the campus is using CLEW in their academic, research and collaborative efforts on campus.
Adding a Citation List Using the Resources Tool
The Adding A Citation List Using The Resources Tool video (5:26 minutes long) discusses how to link to digital resources such as journals and ebooks available through the Leddy Library. The video opens by demonstrating how to set Google Scholar preferences to search while off-campus, how to determine what electronic resources (digital journals or e-books) to select to import into CLEW and finally, how to use the "Add a Citation List" option in the Resources tool.
Note: due to some irregularities with the Google search mechanism, it is important for you to double check that the citation you have retrieved is exactly what you had wanted. This is something beyond our control and the community is working on various solutions. When the resource you are looking for is available and imports correctly, this tool function can be quite handy when connecting to electronic resources available through the Leddy Library.
We will continue to add video tutorials to this site as we develop them.

Indiana University
The University of Indiana is one of the founding partners of Sakai, and have a list of useful videos available on the web. Note: We are not using Assignments 2 nor Gradebook 2 at this institution, so please avoid those videos, as they would be confusing. Indiana University calls their Sakai installation "Oncourse."

Oxford University
Oxford University has a site with videos for faculty which includes a list of links to screen-capture presentations. Oxford calls their Sakai installation "WebLearn." Screen captures outlining various functions within tools where most are similar to the University of Windsor.
